Arrests

The Lincoln County Jail Docket for Monday were as follows:

 

• Maryunna S. Smith, 08-17-92, of 1013 Michael Road, Hazlehurst — arrested for indictment by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Tiffany Mitchell, 01-08-87, of 211 Cypress Cart, Gray, Louisiana — arrested for burglary by the LCSO.

Local weather stats

The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 87 degrees for Tuesday and a low of 62. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday was 64 degrees. There was no precipitation.

 

Copiah County Reports 

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department responded to two medical calls. Volunteer firefighters responded to the first call at approximately 11:38 a.m. at the Wesson Dollar General. Firefighters cleared the scene at around 12:05 p.m. The second medical call was on Wells Street. Firefighters responded to the emergency at 9:03 p.m. and cleared the scene at 9:21 p.m.

Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 14 calls Tuesday; two were transfers, with both to Jackson. There were twelve emergency calls, with seven medical, five in the city and two in the county. There were four traumas with one in the city and three in the county. There was one motor vehicle accident in the county.
