Led by a home run from former Ole Brook product Gabe Wilson, the Belhaven Blazers collected a sweep of Mississippi Valley State.

Wilson, a senior infielder on the Blazers team also added three singles in the series. He collected a double and a stolen base Monday afternoon in a 14-4 win over Tougaloo at Smith-Wills Stadium.

The Blazers will begin conference tournament play next weekend in Montgomery, Alabama.

Over at Alcorn State, another Ole Brook alum in Scottie Peavey went 7-for-13 in a series loss to Alabama State.

Peavey is batting .340 for the season, after leading the SWAC in hitting in 2014. He is a, senior right fielder on the team.

The Braves play at Oklahoma Tuesday and Wednesday night and travel to LSU next week, before ending it’s regular season against Mississippi Valley State May 1-2 in Lorman.
