A Lawrence County man has been arrested on charges of computer luring of a minor.

Lawrence County Sheriff Joel Thames said the complaint against Silas R. Lewis Jr., 49, was filed with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office by the parents of the young victim. Further investigation found that Lewis lived in Lawrence County and his arrest was placed in the hands of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Thames said his office obtained a search warrant. With the warrant they found and transported one electronic device to the Attorney General’s office in Jackson for investigation.

Lewis was granted a $10,000 bond and has since been released.

Thames said he is unsure how long it will take for the results to return from the Attorney General’s office.
