Bond was set at $1 million for the Lincoln County man accused of murder in last week’s fatal shooting.
Fred Hill, 24, appeared in Justice Court Tuesday for his initial appearance. Hill, who was arrested in the Thursday shooting of Timothy Green, appeared before Judge Chris King Tuesday morning to hear his charges.
Hill was charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. His preliminary hearing date was set for May 6.
The sheriff’s department arrested Hill, of 1515 Spur Lane, after the department received a call at 1:50 a.m. Thursday about the shooting of a subject on Spur Lane. Responders arrived to find Green, 31, deceased.
During an interview the day of the incident, Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute between Green and Hill.
