Memorial Services for Wyatte Buford “Dub” Stuard Jr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Visitation is Monday, March 16, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time of services at Riverwood.

Mr. Stuard, 77, died Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was born on Thursday, Aug. 12, 1937 in Monahans, Texas to Wyatte B. Stuard Sr. and Helen Gilbreath Stuard.

He attended Gretna High School, graduating in 1955, where he was leading scorer and MVP of the 1955 All Westbank Basketball Team. He attended SLI, now The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he studied to become a mud engineer. After several years working in the off-shore oil fields, he went on to own and operate D&D Catering Service, Inc., based in Harahan, Louisiana and McComb. He was a proud and devoted member of AA for over 36 years. Throughout his life, many people were touched by his generosity and warm spirit.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Christine Stuard; son, Darrell Green; and grandson, Zachary Green.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Ernestine “Teena” Stuard; his sons, Wyatte B. Stuard III and wife, Ali, Steven Stuard and wife, Cheryl, Douglas Green and wife, Sandy, and Darwin Green; daughters Peggy Clark and husband, Aussie; and Terri Salinas and husband, Rick; brother, David Stuard and wife, Astrid; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
