The Loyd Star Hornets and Lady Hornets were victorious Tuesday night as they defeated the Brookhaven Panthers in soccer action.

The Loyd Star Hornets beat BHS 2-1. Jordan Michele, center mid-fielder scored as well as Blayne Brister, center forward, with an assist by Connor Crosby, right forward.

Lane Rogers led the defense with 14 take aways as well as Brett Calcote and Dylan Smith with 10 each. Goalie, Hayden Brownlee, had 10 saves.

The Lady Hornets shut out BHS in a 4-0 victory with two goals from center forward, Mallory Holden with one assist. Madisyn Brister, right forward and Lesley Walker, center mid-fielder each scored a goal.

Defense was lead by Shelby Richardson with nine clearances and one take away followed by Mikayla Warren with 7 clearances. Goalie, Polly Patterson, had 4 saves in the shutout.
