NATCHEZ — The Brookhaven Southern Wildcats beat the Natchez Falcons 16-8 in 8-under TNT Football action last Saturday. The Wildcats lost 14-6 to the Falcons in 10-under action. In 12-under action, Natchez crushed Brookhaven 26-6.

BSW resumes action this Saturday against the Natchez Saints, starting at 10 a.m.

BSW 16, Falcons 8 

Elijah Calcote was the offensive leader for the Wildcats with 88 yards rushing. Calcote also rushing in a 25-yard touchdown and scored a two-point conversion.

Markel Smith contributed to the Wildcats rushing attack with 50 yards and also scored a touchdown on a 10-yard run. Rentell Williams punched in Brookhaven’s second two-point conversion.

Calcote powered Wildcats’ defense with five tackles. Zackery Washington provided four tackles, Smith added three stops. Devien Brown and Williams had two tackles each.

Falcons 14, BSW 6 

Kermit Sartin cashed in the only touchdown to lead the Wildcats with a 70-yard sprint.

Tyrone Jones and Malachi Clark directed Brookhaven’s defense with five tackles each. Caleb Harris and Sartin contributed four tackles apiece.

Falcons 26, BSW 6 

Ja’Qaveon Anderson paced the Wildcats’ aerial attack as he complete 5-of-9 passes for 135 yards. Anderson hooked up with Dominique Dixon for 70-yard touchdown pass to score Brookhaven’s only points.

Dixon led all receivers with three catches for 100 yards. Sedarick Brothern had two receptions for 35 yards.

Defensively, Anderson was the leader with eight tackles. Dixon provided seven tackles. Brothern contributed four stops. Daetyn Davis had three tackles and Gabriel Burnett had two stops. K.J Beasley intercepted a pass.
