Dehna Coghlan, of Bogue Chitto, and Shannon Maxie, of Ruth, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Bobby and Ellen Martin, of Bogue Chitto.

He is the son of Milton and Sherry Maxie, of Ruth.

She is the granddaughter of the late Virgil and Olivette Cox, of Bogue Chitto, and the late Howard and Maggie Martin, of Grayson, Louisiana.

He is the grandson of the late Claude and Sarah Maxie, of Monticello, the late Henry and Dezi Sills, of New Hebron, and the late Jerry and Ramona Rutland, of Ruth.

The bride-elect is a 1990 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. She graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College with a degree in cosmetology in 1993 and Southwest Mississippi Community College in 2009 where she received a degree in office systems technology.

The prospective groom is a 1993 graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center. He is currently employed with Chain Electric Company.

The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the fellowship hall.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
