The Loyd Star Hornet netter dominated the Taylorsville Tartars to gain a 6-1 victory in the second round of the Class 2A tennis state playoffs race.

Loyd Star advances to the Class 2A South State championship and will play the winner of the West Lincoln/Clarkdale series next week. Time and location has not been determined.
