Mrs. Crawford, 93, went home to be with her Lord on April 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 25, 1920, in Magnolia to James Lester and Katie McIntyre Davis.

She was the oldest member of First Nazarene Church in Magnolia. She lived in Magnolia for most of her life until her health dictated that she could no longer be alone and she then moved into the Brookhaven home of her daughter, Katie who lovingly and with great care tended to her mother.

God granted her many years on this earth and she lived all of them to the fullest. She was employed for most of her life and at the same time maintained her home and family in a manner that was pleasing unto God! She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 53 years, Chillis C. Crawford; two sons, Maxie Lester Crawford and Chillis Winston “Wink” Crawford; and a brother, James Earl Davis.

Survivors are her three daughters and son-in-law, Katie and David Farnham, Sherra and Hamp Smith and Debbie and Mark Smith all of Brookhaven; 13 grandchildren, Gerry Crawford, Mike Crawford, Rod Crawford, Steve Crawford, Keith Crawford, Allen Farnham, Chuck Farnham, Mary Davis, Melinda Legg, Scott Smith, Brett Smith, Stefanie Orr and Katie Nations; she also leaves behind 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love will live on in her family.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
