MEADVILLE – Paced by four RBI’s each from Derrick Brumfield and Bernard Selmon, the Franklin County Diamond Dawgs beat Natchez High 14-2 in ‘The Swamp.’

Selmon plated a double and two singles, while Brumfield added two doubles. Hoby Mullins had three singles. Ethan Verdin added two singles.

Bryce White collected the win with two strikeouts. Kade Clanton and Mullins also saw action on the mound in relief of White.

The game was stopped after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Franklin High (5-3) plays in the Lawrence County Tournament today with a afternoon game scheduled for 4:30.
