Funeral services for Bobby William Ard of Jayess were to be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Wilson Funeral Home, Monticello, with burial in Roberts Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ard, 44, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Lawrence County Hospital, Monticello. He was born in Brookhaven.

He loved his girls and motorcycles.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Glenda Bannister.

Survivors are his father, Jerry Ard and wife La Gwen, of Jayess; daughters, Diamond Alizae Ard, Destiny Inell Ard, and Heaven Dezarae Ard, all of Jayess; brothers, Jerry William Ard of Brookhaven and Carlos Anthony Ard of Monticello; sister, Shirley Holmes Stringer, Seminary,vand numerous nieces and nephews.
