Funeral services for Clifton T. Moak of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Catchings Funeral Home in Summit with burial in Hollywood Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Bro. Rick Kennedy will be officiating the services.
Mr. Moak, 94, died Sept. 30, 2013, at home. He was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Bogue Chitto to Zachariah and Rhoda McCaffrey Moak.
He worked as an auto mechanic for more than 45 years. He was a Baptist and a member of New Heights Baptist Church. He was a longtime resident of McComb and after retirement moved to the Moak’s Creek community. He loved his family and friends, gardening (especially growing Amaryllis) and wood working.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Diane Moak Stewart; son-in-law Jim Stewart; sister Virginia Moak Price, and brother, Carlos B. Moak.
Survivors are his wife, Doris J. “Jeanie” Moak; son, David C. Moak; special daughter, Janet Stewart of McComb; special nephew, Connley Moak, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
