Linda Kay Garner Westmoreland, 69, a native of Leesville, La., and resident of Baton Rouge, La., passed away Saturday, Sept.7, 2013. Linda was born Jan. 23, 1944, to the late James Patton Garner and Sammie Vayree Valentine Garner of Leesville, La.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Westmoreland of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Dana Lyn Westmoreland of Kingwood, Texas, and Bree Lyn Ferrer of Ponchatoula, La.; and grandchildren, Madison Kay Burch, 14, Olivia Vayree Schmitt, 13, Conlan Gordan Burch, 13, Kyle Frederick Schmitt, 9, and Meredith Ella Schmitt, 9. She is also survived by her brother, James Patton Garner Jr. of Shreveport, La.; a cherished cousin, Diana Lyn Soren of Forest Falls, Calif; an aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a celebration of Linda’s life, Sunday, Sept. 15, from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the Lakehouse Reception Center, 12323 Old Hammond Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
