Funeral services for Edward L. Grenn of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Grenn, 85, died July 11, 2013 at Silver Cross Home. He was born on Jan. 12, 1928 to Opie and Maggie Grenn.
He worked and retired from Homelite Textron and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and son, Mark Grenn.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Veta Grace Grenn of Bogue Chitto; two sons, Mike Grenn and wife, Wanda, of Gulfport, and Bill Grenn and wife, Angie, of Wesson; daughter, Renee Nations and husband, Ricky, of Bogue Chitto; three sisters, Dorothy Miller of Florida, Margaret Kern of Florida and Ada Van of Bogue Chitto; two brothers, George Grenn of Gulfport and Opie Grenn Jr. of Pearl; seven grandchildren, Jessica Grenn Stuckey, Nichole Nations Hall and husband, Cody, Jennifer Grenn Singley and husband, Jamie, Wayne Nations and wife, Amanda, Kyle Nations, Trestin Grenn and Trevor Grenn; and four great-grandchildren, Jacob Singley, Hunter Stuckey, Carter Hall and JulieAnna Singley.
