Services for Marguerite Chaney White of Philadelphia will be held Friday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel in Philadelphia, with the Rev. Billy J. Hayes and Dr. Richard Balkcom officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Mrs. White, 99, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.

She was born and reared in Neshoba County, where she made her home most of her life. Mrs. White was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. She retired as a public school teacher in Neshoba County.

Survivors include her daughter, Lucinda (Maurice) Smith of Brookhaven; grandsons, Shane (Tabitha) Dozier, Brent (Lynn) Dozier and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny White; parents, Roy and Louie Chaney; son-in-law, Rayburn Dozier; sister, Luceil Frickie, and brothers, Morris, A.J. and Leroy Chaney.

Pallbearers will be James Chaney, Danny Thompson, Johnny Hester, Don Perry, George Sikes, Hughey Duncan and Jerry White.
