Funeral services for Lois Rosslyn Reuter of Adamstown, Md., formerly of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church, with rosary at 7 p.m. No visitation on Thursday.
Mrs. Reuter, 86, died Feb. 10, 2013, at Buckingham’s Assisted Living Center in Maryland. She was born in Chicago on May 3, 1926 to Stuart Barker and Fern Tilden Barker.
She was retired from Jacobsen Manufacturing as an administrative assistant and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for 47 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Ladies of St. Francis and St. Francis Choir and a KDMC volunteer. Mrs. Reuter was an avid player of bridge and mah-jongg and enjoyed playing the dulcimer with a local group.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul Reuter; stepmother, Fairy Barker; and brother-in-law and his wife, Charles Reuter and Eleanor Bartol Reuter.
Survivors are her daughters, Nancy Reuter of Houston and Susan Reuter Smith and husband, Mark, of Clarksburg, Md.; grandchildren, Chris Smith and wife, Heather, and Andrew Smith; widow of cousin, Bob Tilden, Sharon Tilden, of Henderson, Nev.; and special friend and companion, Angie Williams of Jayess.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to one of Mrs. Reuter’s favorite charities, the Franciscan Friars of Atonement of Graymoor or the Make a Wish Foundation.
