Funeral services for Irene Marie Brown of Bogue Chitto are 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

     Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Brown, 89, died Dec. 1, 2012, at her residence in Bogue Chitto. She was born in Galesburg, Ill.

     She was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church and was a member of DAR.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Faye Slaughter; her mother, Frances Slaughter; and a sister, Arlyne O’Connell.

     Survivors include her husband, Bill Brown of Bogue Chitto; her daughter, Glynda Luxmore and her husband, Terry, of Chicago, Ill.; her son, Brad Brown and his wife, Stacy, of Peoria, Ill.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
