Memorial services for Meshelle McCrory, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at New Jerusalem M.B. Church. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

     Ms. McCrory, 57, died Oct. 21, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Crystal Springs on Dec. 21, 1955, to Augusta “Bud” and Ida Mae Gayten.

     She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School Class of 1973 and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She was employed for many years at Jacobsen Lawn Mower Plant, Wal-Mart Distribution and McClane Wholesalers. Ms. McCrory was a member of New Jerusalem M.B. Church and was faithful to the young ministry. She was a member of the Eastern Star and worked with the Girl Scouts.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers, Dennis McCrory, Bernard Smith and Randy Smith.

     Survivors are her son, Kevin Dewayne McCrory and wife, Alisa, of Springfield, Mass.; daughter, Stephanie Shunte McCrory, of Chicopee, Mass.; brothers, Jerome McCrory, Michael Smith and wife, Brenda, and Perry Smith, all of Brookhaven; sisters, Joyce Ann Robinson and husband, Clifford, of Anaheim, Calif., Beverly Gayten, of Brookhaven, and Margaret Gayten, of Springfield, Mass; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
