Funeral services for Irma Ruth Russell, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Bogue Chitto, were 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at Siwell Road Church of Christ in Byram, with burial at 3 p.m. in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Mrs. Russell, 87, died Sept. 25, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on April 16, 1925, the second child of James Fred Moak and Gladys Florence Kelley Moak.

     She was raised in Bogue Chitto and moved to Richland in 1984. Mrs. Russell retired from Bell South Telephone Company after 35 years of service.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald R. Russell, who died in 1986; and a brother, James Kelley Moak, who died in August of 2000.

     Survivors are her son, Glen Griffin and wife, Norma, of Dallas; brother, David Clark Moak and wife, Opal, of Hurst, Texas; sister-in-law, Vickey Moak, of Hurst, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
