Funeral services for Leroy Davis, of Natchez, were 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Laird Funeral Home, with burial in Natchez City Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Wynn and the Rev. Wayne Spencer will officiate.

     Mr. Davis, 86, died Aug. 17, 2012, at his home. He was born in Warsau, Fla. on Sept. 28, 1925, to Leamon Alton and Dovie Akridge Davis.

     He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army Airforce Paratroopers. He was retired from International Paper Company after 40 years of service. Mr. Davis was an avid golfer and a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was loving and devoted to his wife, family and church friends. He was also a member of the Natchez Masonic Lodge.

     Preceding him in death were his parents.

     Survivors are his wife, Sarah Weeks Davis; stepson, Danny Weeks and wife, Melinda; grandson, Austin Cole Weeks, all of Natchez; and niece, Charlene Rawls, of Jacksonville, Fla.

     Pallbearers will be Brian Leach, Jerry Leach, Ronnie Mayers, George Alan Mayers, Ryan Wingfield and Austin Cole Weeks.

     Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
