Barnes Family: Candace, Britney, Bethanie, Aaron and Caiden

Candace “Candy” Denise Barnes, 48, was called home to be with her Lord on July 30, 2012, along with her daughter, Britney Leigh Barnes, 25, grandsons, Aaron Israel Arenas, 5, and Caiden Mathew Barnes, 4, and granddaughter, Bethanie Ann Barnes, 21 months.
Candace was born in El Paso, Texas, on Feb. 3, 1964, to Bill and Ann Case. She attended Andress High School and graduated from Denham Springs in Louisiana. She returned to El Paso where she later met and married her husband of 24 years, Zack Barnes. They were blessed with four daughters. She graduated from UTEP with a degree in Human Resource Management. She worked several years at H & R Block preparing tax returns. Candy was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was Past Matron of Wallace Hughston Chapter #1100 and recently became Deputy Grand Matron in Texas. She also served in Renick Chapter #37 in Anthony, N.M.
Candy is survived by her husband, Zack Barnes; parents, Bill and Ann Case; daughters, Crystal Barnes, Karisa Vasquez and husband, Manny, and Jessica Barnes; granddaughters, Bryleigh Barnes and Layla Vasquez; grandson, Landon Vasquez; sister, Brenda McDaniel and husband, Fred; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Case.
Britney, 25, was born in El Paso on January 22, 1987. She graduated from Irvin High school and attended Kaplan College to study Office Medical Assistance. Britney was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Wallace Hughston #1100. Britney is survived by her daughter, Bryleigh Jade; father; younger sisters; and grandparents.
Bethanie, 21 months, was born in El Paso on October 19, 2010 to Britney Barnes and Michael Walker. She loved her twin sister very much. She was very outgoing and always found a way to put a smile on people’s faces. She is survived by her father, Michael and twin sister, Bryleigh Jade.
Aaron Arenas, 5, was born in El Paso on November 13, 2006. He attended Head Start at Region 19. He enjoyed school and was very excited to go back. He also enjoyed fishing, swimming, and playing with his brother, cousins, and grandpa, Zack. He is survived by his father, Israel Arenas; grandma Grace; and sisters, Jalinda and Rain.
Caiden, 4, was born in El Paso on March 4, 2008. He enjoyed going to school and doing activities with his favorite grandpa, Zack. He fell in love with the new family dog, Optimus. Aaron and Caiden are survived by their Mommy, Crystal Barnes and would tell her “they loved her way up a sky.”
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at McCombs Baptist Church on 10601 McCombs, El Paso, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held after the services. Interment will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast.
