Myra S. Martin

Mrs. Myra Martin, 93, of Brookhaven, passed away on July 10, 2012, at Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jackson. She was born on May 11, 1919 to George Shiel and Naomi Smithart Shiel in Sontag.
Mrs. Myra worked for Lofton’s Department Store and later Brookhaven Bank and Trust Company, which became Trustmark Bank. She retired from Trustmark in Brookhaven and after her illness lived in Jackson for the past 17 years.
She was a long time active member of the Union Hall Baptist Church where she taught an adult Sunday school class and held other positions in the church as long as her health permitted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters and her husbands Hancy Lee Rials and Delton F. Martin
Survivors include her children Margie Lee Rials Jayroe (Gerald) of Jackson, and Harold Ray Rials (Dollie Sue) of Brookhaven; and four grandchildren, Myra Lisa Jayroe Barnes and Sheila Lucille Jayroe Wilbanks (David) of Jackson, and Hancy Dwayne Rials (Annette) and Harold Ray Rials II (Sandra) of Brookhaven.
She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, one sister, India Shiel Baker of Jacksonville Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on July 13, 2012 from 9 until 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with services to follow at 11 a.m. and interment at Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery.
