Funeral services for Loyd B. Cupit, of McCall Creek, were 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at Franklin Funeral Home, with burial in Eddiceton Cemetery.

     Mr. Cupit, 80, died April 7, 2012, at Meadville Convalescent Home. He was born in Franklin County on July 16, 1931, to Henry C. and Anna Wallace Cupit.

     He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired small engine mechanic.

     Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.

     Survivors are his wife, Mary “Susie” McMillan Cupit; son, Danny Cupit, of McCall Creek; daughters, Mary Sue Triplett, of Meridian, Tracy Scott, of McCall Creek, Linda K. Fairchild, of San Diego, Sandra Todd, of San Diego, and Becky Coleman, of Hazlehurst; stepmother, Edith Cupit; sister, Dorothy Faye Cupit; brother, James Cupit, Carl Cupit, Robert Cupit and Gerald Cupit; and 9 grandchildren.
