Funeral services for Lewise Harrington Peets, of Brookhaven, were 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in Midway Cemetery.

     Visitation wa Sunday from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Peets, 84, died Feb. 24, 2012, at Haven Hall Health Care Center. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 15, 1927, to James P. and Rosa Virginia Potts Harrington.

     She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William E. Peets Sr.; son, William “Dusty” E. Peets Jr.; daughter, Catherine Peets Jobin; and sisters, Geraldine Heirs and Peggy Sims.

     Survivors are her daughters, Sue Peets, of Richland, and Lynda Peets Posey, of Brookhaven; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Peets, of Wesson; brother, James P. Harrington Jr., of Brookhaven; eight grandchildren, Norma Porter, Shayne Burnham, Jenny Hynum, Robby Laird, Dana Coghlan, Dax Davenport, Christopher Peets and Chance Peets; and 14 great-grandchildren.

     Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Brookhaven or to a charity of your choice.
