Funeral services for Dr. Marion Lewis “Boo”Hayles, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, at RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

    Visitation is Monday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

    Dr. Hayles, 91, died Nov. 11, 2011, at his home. He was born inAlabama on Oct. 23, 1920, to Jasper A. and Mildred T. Hayles.

    He graduated from Auburn University. He was a veterinarian and amember of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven. Dr. Hayles served inthe U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the AmericanVeterinary Association and practiced veterinary medicine inBrookhaven for 47 years.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, VirgilHayles.

    Survivors are his wife, Geneva Marchione Hayles; sons, Ronald S.Hayles, Kenneth J. Hayles and Alan Keith Hayles; daughter, MarionLinda Hayles; brother, Jasper Hayles; sisters, Ruth Hines andBurniece Berry; eight grandchildren; and fivegreat-grandchildren.

    The family gives special thanks to Gloria, Annie, Martha and Hopicefor their excellent care.
