Funeral services for William ClaytonAllgood, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, atBrookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery.

    Mr. Allgood, 83, died Nov. 5, 2011, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Jan. 18, 1928, to Robert E. Lee AllgoodSr. and Hazel Marie Durr Allgood.

    He was a member of the Brookhaven Assembly of God church and workedas a plumber in Brookhaven and surrounding areas for over 50 years.His quick wit, hearty laugh and engaging sense of humor will bemissed by all here but are being enjoyed in heaven.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Thomas HaroldSmith; and sister, Audrey Nell Laird.

    Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Peggy Ann Allgood; daughter andson-in-law, Elisa and Mark Curole, of Lafayette, Ga.; sister, JanieWatts, of Baton Rouge, La.; brothers, Robert Allgood Jr., ofBrookhaven, and Malcolm Allgood, of Baton Rouge, La.; three belovedgrandchildren, Clayton Andrew Curole, Benna Alisabeth Curole andJoseph “Jac” Allgood Curole; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousinsand friends.
