Funeral services for Daryel Dunaway, ofJackson, are 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. Phillips EpiscopalChurch in Jackson, with burial in the church columbarium. RiemannFamily Funeral Home in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the church and an hourprior to funeral services on Saturday.
Mr. Dunaway, 57, died Oct. 12, 2011, in Jackson. He was born inTylertown on March 4, 1954.
He was retired from Handicapable Vans and was a strong advocate ofthe disability rights movement in Mississippi. He will beremembered for his kindness and generous spirit toward everyone. Hehad a positive impact on many lives.
Preceding him in death were his father, Jewel Dean Dunaway; andbrother, Jewel Ray Dunaway.
Survivors are his wife, Christy Gilliland Dunaway; mother, FrancesReid Dunaway; and siblings, Denver Dunaway, Faye Dunaway, MaeHutson, and Syble Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to LivingIndependence for Everyone of Mississippi (LIFE), 1304 Vine Street,Jackson, MS 39202.
