Funeral services for Phillip G. “Chainsaw”Ray, of Natchez, are 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, at Laird FuneralHome, with burial in Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. BoSwilley and The Rev. Paul Trosper will be officiating.

    Visitation is Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Ray, 54, died Sept. 27, 2011, in Newellton, La. He was born inMcComb on June 14, 1957 to Doyle Lee and Faye East Ray.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, J.W. Roberts;brother, Roy Ray; and daughter, Melissa Faye Ray. 

    Survivors are his wife, Lynn Ray, of Natchez; daughters, KristieSimmmons and husband, Skylar, of Natchez, Kimberly Ray and fiancé,Michael, both of Natchez, and Katrina Trosper and husband, Paul, ofWinona; four grandchildren, Collette Simmons, Ryan Simmons, GabrielTrosper, and Caleb Trosper.
