Funeral services for Ione “Jean” FlowersSmith, of Ocean Springs, are 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, atFranklin Funeral Home, with burial in Damascus Baptist ChurchCemetery. Dr. John Cash will be officiating.

    Visitation is Friday from 2 until 3:30 p.m. at the funeralhome.

    Mrs. Smith, 89, died Sept. 21, 2011, at Singing River Rehab andNursing Home in Moss Point. She was born in Franklin County on May13, 1922 to Truly Flowers and Lucy Watson.

    She was an equipment operator at Diamond International and amanager of a restaurant. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Churchin Washington.

    Preceding her in death were her mother; and husband, WalterSmith.

    Survivors are her son, Reuben H. “Dempsey” Graves and wife,Shirley, of Alexandria, La.; daughters, Brenda Jean and husband,David Morace, of Ocean Springs, Betty Ann and husband, HarrisonEvans, of Oxford, and Barbrea and husband, Kent Darsey, of Hickory;nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren.
