Funeral services for Lovie B. Jones, ofMeadville, were 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Franklin Funeral HomeChapel, with burial in Midway Cemetery.

    Visitation was Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

    Mr. Jones, 85, died Aug. 31, 2011, at his residence. He was born inFranklin County on Aug. 5, 1926, to Robert and Lela Lee Jones.

    He was retired from International Paper Mill. He was a member ofthe John A. Galbreath Lodge No. 0334 for 62 years.

    Preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson.

    Survivors are his wife, Sarah Smith Jones, of Meadville; his sons,James R. Jones (Irene), of Prarieville, La., William B. Jones(Teresa), of Hixon, Tenn., John M. Jones (Debbie), of Caseyville,and Ronnie E. Jones (Kelli), of Pensacola, Fla.; his sisters,Florine Miller (Wayne), of Canton, Robertine Jones, of Jackson, andOra Lee Hester (Tommy), of Pearl.

    His pallbearers were Michael Jones, Chris Jones, Jeffery Jones,Danny Street, Rod Riley, Pat Larkin and honorary pallbearer DavidRay.
