Darlene Cupstid Sykes, 52, passed awayTuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at the University of Mississippi MedicalCenter in Jackson.

    Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Stringer FamilyFuneral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at thefuneral home chapel with burial in Wesson Cemetery.

    Mrs. Sykes was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah Countyliving in Crystal Springs and then in Wesson for the past 27 years.She was manager of the Cracker Barrel Store in Brookhaven for thepast five years.

    She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Cupstid.

    She is survived by husband, Ralph E. Sykes; daughters, Kasie Duvaland husband, Shane, of Brookhaven, and April Hicks, of Wesson; hermother, Jean Tew, of Byram; a sister, Renee Cupstid, of Byram; andgrandchildren, Hunter Blake Griffin, Cody Dylan Sylvest and JosephWyatt Duval.
