Graveside services for Anis Elaine Reeves, of Lincoln County,are 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, at Matthews Chapel MethodistChurch Cemetery in Brookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home on NorthJackson Street is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reeves, 82, died June 9, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 27,1928, to R.J. Huggins and Anis Lea Godbold.
She was a former hairdresser, formerly worked in human resources atLincoln Residential Center and was in business with her daughteroperating Miss Gussie’s Snowballs for 25 years. She was a graduateof Hinds Junior College and was of the Methodist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, George YoungGraves and William Linus Reeves; and her son, George Young GravesJr.
Survivors are her daughter, Gussie Lester and fiance, KennethSmith, of Brookhaven; her grandsons, Brian Flynn and wife, Lyndie,of Kentwood, La., Seth Flynn, of Brookhaven, and Jeremy Graves, ofMiami, Okla.; her great-grandchildren, Liam Thomas Flynn and ElainaGraves; and her lifelong friend, Loni Magee, of Brookhaven.
Pallbearers will be Nick Norton, Alex Hoeniges, Chris Nations,Brodie Nations, Brian Flynn and Seth Flynn.
