Funeral services for Mary Louise Adams Davis, of Greenville,formerly of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, atJericho Church of Christ in Loyd Star, with burial in the churchcemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a family hour Friday from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mrs. Davis, 69, died March 25, 2011, in Greenville. She was born onSept. 1, 1941, in Wesson to Robert Adams Sr. and Ernestine WhiteAdams.
She attended Progress School in Jackson but later graduated fromChicago schools. She was a retired school teacher from the Chicagoschool system. She was a member of Jericho Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, AugustineJohnson and Janie Mae Adams; her brothers, John Adams, Willie D.Adams, Johnnie Adams and David Adams.
Survivors are her husband, Tommy Davis Sr. of Greenville; herdaughter, Patricia Ann Davenport of Greenville; her son, ShellyAlexander of Seattle, Wash., and his wife, Shonta; herstepdaughter, Selena Davis; her stepson, Tommy Davis, Jr., both ofMichigan; one granddaughter and grandson; her brothers, TommieAdams of Omaha, Neb., and his wife, Wilda; and Robert Adams, Jr. ofBrookhaven, and wife Ann; her sisters, Bertha Williams of Omaha,Neb., and husband, Terry; Beatrice Tyner of Brookhaven, andhusband, Curtis; Freda Buckhaulter of Brookhaven, and husband,David; Margaret Brown of Brookhaven, and husband, James; andLeatrice Banks of Healdsburg, Calif., and husband, Robert; heraunt, Christine Tucker of Chicago, Ill.; many nieces, nephews,relatives and friends.
