Funeral services for Eliger Adams, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.on Friday, Jan. 21, at New Life Apostolic Church in Summit, withburial in Harris Rawls Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Adams, 80, died Jan. 19, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Mississippi on Aug. 22, 1930, to Jess Adamsand Louiza Bowlin Adams.

He was retired. He was a member of New Life Apostolic Church inSummit.

Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant son; 21 sisters;and a brother.

Survivors are his wife, Eunice “Bonnie” Richardson; his sons,Jessie Adams and wife, Debbie, of Bogue Chitto, Eugene Adams andwife, Dottie, of Brookhaven, John Adams and wife, Shirley, ofHammond, La., and Charlie Adams and wife, Patsy, of Bogue Chitto;his daughters, Gloria Lusk of Bogue Chitto, JoAnne Rushing andhusband, Melton, of Bogue Chitto, Lee Marbury and husband, David,of Bogue Chitto, and Alisha Marbury and husband, Danny, of BogueChitto; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
