Funeral services for Herschell J. Price, of Meadville, are 10:30a.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, at Meadville Baptist Church, with burial inProvidence Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County. FranklinFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church fellowshiphall and on Friday in the church sanctuary from 9:30 a.m. until thetime of the service.

Mr. Price, 90, died Jan. 5, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Corinth on Sept. 19, 1920, toThomas Price and Odie Price.

He was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was aveteran of the United States Navy, and served during World War IIand in Korea. He was a member of Meadville Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Roger Dale Price;and three brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Edwena K. Price of Meadville; his son,Phillip Price and wife Mary, of Wesson; his daughter, JenniferStewart and husband Tommy, of Brookhaven; his sister, MaryCatherine Cameron, of Florida; his grandchildren, Dusty Price andAnna, Marlee Price, Nickki Heffington and Stan, Amanda Carlock andBradley, and Katie Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence BaptistChurch Cemetery Fund, 3206 Highway 84W, Meadville, MS 39653.
