Funeral services for Alice Mae Berry Bowman, of Brookhaven, wereheld on Dec. 3, 2010, at the Center Street Church of Christ inBrookhaven, with burial in Friendship Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro.Winfred Frazier officiated, and Bro. Jacques Pittman was minister.R.E. Tyler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bowman, 62, was born on Feb. 18, 1948, to Willie and Katie MaeBerry. She departed this life on Nov. 29, 2010, at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

She was a 1966 graduate of Alexander High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepfather, DaveJackson; and her brother, Eric.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Benny “Jim”Bowman; her five children, Shana and Telia Bowman, both ofHattiesburg; Karmeshia, Benny Ramon and Kelby Bowman; fourgrandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Bowman; her five sisters,Beverly Edwards, Evelyn Washington, Mae Helen Berry, Katie RuthBerry and Glenda Berry; her four brothers, Willie Earl Berry, DavidEarl Berry, Robert Berry and Royce Berry; her stepsister, JosieEubanks, all of Brookhaven; her sisters-in-law, Shirley McDanielsof Brookhaven, Patricia Bowman of Chicago, Ill., Linda Moore ofPort Gibson, and Betty Berry of Brookhaven; her brothers-in-law,Billy Bowman, Harry Edwards and Eddie Washington, all ofBrookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives andfriends.
