Funeral services for Doris Harris Johnston, of Monticello, wereheld at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel inMonticello, with burial in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery inMonticello.

Mrs. Johnston, 79, died Oct. 30, 2010, at Lawrence County NursingCenter in Monticello. She was born in Mississippi on April 16,1931.

She was a former clerical employee with Kellwood ManufacturingCompany. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John W. and Lessie HarperHarris; her husband of 46 years, George Garson Johnston; and onegreat-grandson, Bennett Johnston Scholle.

Survivors are her daughter, Sharon Scholle and husband Lynn, ofMonticello; her grandchildren, Stephen Scholle and wife, Felicia,of Paulina, La., Michael Scholle and wife, Kasey, and Joy Russelland husband, Ben, all of Monticello; her great-grandchildren,Landon and Trace Scholle, and Chloe and Caylie Russell, all ofMonticello.
