Funeral services for Mark Wayne Smith, of Bogue Chitto, are 2p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel, with burial in Moak’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery inSummit.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 5 until 9 p.m. at thefuneral home.

Mr. Smith, 67, died Oct. 11, 2010, at Jaquith Nursing Home inPearl. He was born on Jan. 15, 1943, to Clarence Wesley Smith andMartha Logan Smith.

He was retired from his job as an electrician with Moses ElectricService. He was a member of Moak’s Creek Baptist Church. He was aveteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the AmericanLegion Post No. 14 of McComb, and the Sons of the AmericanRevolution of Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, BarbaraJackson.

Survivors are his wife, Janice Fleming Smith; his son, Wesley JaySmith, of Bogue Chitto; his daughter, Holly Marie Smith, ofJackson; his brother, Donald Wesley Smith, of Jackson; hisgranddaughter, Chloe-Jade Smith, of Bogue Chitto; and numerousnieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Harry Harvey American Legion post No.14, 203 Oak St., McComb, MS 39648.
