HAZLEHURST – The Port Gibson Blue Wave managed to drown theHazlehurst Indians 17-7 Friday night snapping the Indians’ 4-gamewinning streak and handing them their first setback. Port Gibson is3-2 on the season.

Senior wideout Gabrial Gray led the Hazlehurst offense by scoringon a 67-yard touchdown pass from Kenneth Coleman for the Indians’only score of the game.

Defensively, Leviticus Cain led the team with 9 tackles. JonkilSkipper provided 5 tackles and Demond Tucker contributed 4stops.

Cornelius Crump led the ground attack for the Indians with 7carries for 65 yards.

Hazlehurst travels to Tylertown this Friday to battle the defendingCalss 3A state champion Chiefs for their first Region 7-3A contest.Game time is set for 7 p.m.
