Funeral services for Gladys Evon Jordan, of Meadville, are 11a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, at O Zion Baptist Church in Meadville,with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andThursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mrs. Jordan, 84, died Aug. 31, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on March 30, 1926, to Sanford D.McManus and Julia (Missy) Jordan.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 46 years,James L. Jordan; three sisters; one brother; and onestepgranddaughter.

Survivors are her daughters, Marlene Jordan Arnold and husband,Rogers, of McCall Creek, and Sylvia Jordan, of Meadville; hersister, Mary Helen Fossier, of Baton Rouge, La.; her sister-in-law,Anita Jordan Arnold, of McCall Creek; her grandson, Michael Arnold;and her stepgrandson, Billy Arnold, of Smithdale.
