MCCOMB – The Lincoln County Nationals beat the McComb NationalLeague All-Stars 13-10 Tuesday night at Edgewood Park and swept theDixie Youth Baseball AAA 9s District Six Series. In the fifth,Krishawn Jackson hit a 3-run homer to put Lincoln County on top10-7. Jackson singled and homered in the game.

“Our kids played well,” said LC Nationals coach Billy O. Britt. “Wegot behind but we never gave up. It was a good test for us.”

Britt’s team plays in the DYB 9s regional at Laurel, starting July16. McComb qualified as the district’s No. 2 team.

Ryals Hester (4 K, 1 BB) pitched the win in relief of James Beard,striking out the final three batters. Dylan Case struck out fivebatters, walked one and allowed one run on one hit in the earlygoing.

McComb led 7-3 in the fourth inning. Lincoln County rallied as Casehit a 2-run triple to tie the game at 7-7.

The Nationals had 11 hits and McComb eight. McComb pitchers issuedeight bases on balls and Lincoln County had five.

At the plate, Beard singled and doubled. Dane Smith tripled. DylanCase tripled and singled. Slay Acy tripled. John Hilbert, CollinBritt and Hayden Waldon singled.

McComb’s Dalton East took the loss in relief.

At the plate, East singled twice. Cody Scott doubled. Matai Garciadoubled.
