BOGUE CHITTO – Adrienne Wallace tripled, doubled and singled inleading Bogue Chitto’s Lady Cats to an 8-1 win against VicksburgSt. Aloysius in Region 7-1A fastpitch softball action. The Cats(10-6, 4-0). Unbeaten in region play, finished with 15 hits asJosie Porter picked up three singles.
Winning pitcher Toy Smith (7-4) struck out two batters and walkedone. Taylor Ann Hasty fanned two and walked none in a losingcause.
“We came out strong at the plate,” said BC coach Scott Leggett. “Weexecuted well and hit the ball sharply.”
Leggett’s Cats host Brookhaven today, starting at 5 p.m. with ajunior varsity game. Varsity play begins at 6.
Junior Varsity Results
The Cats beat St. Al 7-6 I the JV game as Mattie Avants pitched thewin, fanning two batters.
At the plate, BC got a triple from Colby Kirkland. Kaylie Crosbyand Lauren Wallace singled.
