Loyd Star coach Jan Delaughter said Moak’s homers were historicalin the seven years of Loyd Star’s fastpitch softball program. “Thisis the first time we’ve had two home runs hit out in the same gameand the first grand slam. Both of them cleared the left-centerfield fence, near the 210-foot mark.”

Walker was referring to senior right-hander Brooke Delaughter, TheDAILY LEADER’s 2009 All-Area Most Valuable Player. Delaughter, aCo-Lin signee, authored a 2-hitter last night, striking out 11batters and walking 1.
Delaughter’s hard smash off Wright’s right leg drove in Emily Smithwith the 11th and final run in the bottom of the fifthinning.
