Services for Virginia Helen Hopple Pyatt, of Steelville, Mo.,are 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Britton-Bennett Funeral Home inSteelville, Mo., with burial in Luebbering Citizens CommunityCemetery in Grubville, Mo.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home

Mrs. Pyatt, 99, died March 7, 2010, at Gibbs Care Center inSteelville. She was born in Jefferson County, Mo., on Nov. 18,1910, to Emit Hopple and Bertha (Leonard) Hopple.

She was a faithful member of the Cherryville Church of God forseveral years. In earlier days, she enjoyed quilting andtraveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; herson, Robert Stevenson; her brothers, Emmitt Hopple and RaymondHopple; and her sisters, Tilly Marce and Myrtle Shoatz.

Survivors are her sons, Lawrence Stevenson and Charles Marce, bothof Brookhaven, Archie Rulo, of Richmond, Va., and Ray Hubbs, of St.Louis, Mo.; her daughters, Rosemary Hastings of Fruithurst, Ala.,and Dorothy Hopple, of Atlanta, Ga.; her sister, Alice Gannon, ofBelleville, Ill.; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildrenand four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives andfriends.
