Services for Mary Ellen Case, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Friday,March 5, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brookhaven,with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Celebrant will be FatherMatthew Simmons. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m.at the funeral home.

Mrs. Case, 90, died March 2, 2010, at the University of MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 13,1920, to Robert Francis Aylward and Bertha Massey Aylward.

She was retired from her job as a clerk with the Mississippi StateHealth Department, and also former society editor with The DAILYLEADER newspaper. She was a very active member of St. Francis ofAssisi Catholic Church, and was a former Girl Scout leader. She wasa recipient of the Brookhaven Exchange Club Golden DeedsAward.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WilliamHarrison Case Sr.; her sons, William Harrison Case Jr. andChristopher M. Case; and her grandson, Brian Patrick Case.

Survivors are her sons, Francis A. Case, of Natchez, and Mike J.Case, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Linda Peaster, of Flora,Jennifer Munson, of Ponchatoula, La., and Mary Jane Oglesby, ofLakeland, Fla.; her 12 grandchildren and eightgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Scott Munson, Tim Case, Nick Oglesby, JoshuaMullins, Matthew Emmons and Jeremiah Davis. Honorary pallbearersare Geoff Hambach, Bruce Lambert, Keith Munson, Tommy Peaster, RonEngel and David Lofton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the NatchezChildren’s Home in Natchez.
