Julian Earl Adams
Services for Julian Earl Adams, of Bogue Chitto, were 10 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Adams, 63, died Dec. 23, 2009, at McComb Nursing Home. Hewas born on Feb. 12, 1946, to John Quincy Adams and Bernice WallaceAdams.
He was disabled. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his father, John Quincy Adams; andhis brothers, Lamar Adams and William Frank Adams.
Survivors are his mother, Bernice Wallace Adams; his son, JohnAdams and wife, Kelly; his daughter, Amanda Smith and husband,Robbie; his brother, Ronnie Adams; and his grandchildren, CamieAllred, Tyler Adams, Julianna Smith, Kadance Adams and ThomasSmith.

Wylma Dodd Mitchell
A memorial service for Wylma Dodd Mitchell is Tuesday, Dec. 29,at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. Visitation will beheld at 1 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will beheld at Riverwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mitchell, 95, died December 18, 2009, in Arlington, Texas.She was born in Holmes County on May 26, 1914, to William JeffersonDodd and Inez Greene Dodd.
Her mother’s maternal family was B. B. Wilkes and her father’smaternal family was Bailey, including Dr. T. J. Bailey, the founderand publisher of the Baptist Record. She met her husband in collegewhere he was president of the student body.
Mrs. Mitchell was a loving and caring Christian homemaker whoalways considered others before herself. Since her husband’s death16 years ago, she was the family anchor. She was active in FirstBaptist Church of Brookhaven where she taught Sunday school.
She was also active in school and civic affairs, having servedas president of the PTA, president and charter member of theBrookhaven Peripatetics Club and Worthy Matron of the Brookhavenchapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Early in her life, shewas an accomplished pianist and she passed this love of music on toher family where it endures with each generation.
Mrs. Mitchell lived in Canton from 1935 to 1947 and Brookhavenfrom 1947 to 2002. The past seven years, she lived with her son inArlington.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Hugh T. Mitchell; herparents; her brother; and her sisters-in-law, W. J. Dodd Jr. andBeatrice Gilmore.
Survivors are her two sons, Hugh Mitchell Jr. with his wife,Glenda, of Arlington, and Kenneth Mitchell, of St. Petersburg,Fla.; her grandchildren, Hugh III and his wife, Kimberly, ofAustin, Texas, Luke Mitchell, of Arlington, Heather Mitchell, ofSt. Petersburg, 1st Lt. Stephen Mitchell, of Dyess AFB in Abilene,Texas, and Holly Mitchell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; her twogreat-grandchildren, Hugh IV and Liberty, both of Austin.
Solon Britt Moore
Services for Solon Britt Moore, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Sunday, Dec. 27, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Stewart Cemetery.
Mr. Moore, 66, died Dec. 23, 2009, at his residence. He was bornon Sept. 25, 1943, to William Moore and Becky Moore.
He was a painter. He was a member of Apostolic LighthouseTabernacle.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and BeckyMoore; his brothers, Alvin Moore, Charles Moore, Willie Moore andFloyd Moore; and his sister, Beatrice Rippy.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Moore; his son, Anthony “Tony”Britt Moore and wife, Bonita Marie; his daughters, Patricia RenaBailey and husband, Roger Lane, and Melissa Maybelle Townsend andhusband Al “Bubba”; his sisters, Georgia Rippy and Cora Mae White;his grandchildren, Tara Christine and husband, Gregory Blackwell,William Bertis Townsend and wife, Vanes’sa, Robert Lane Bailey,Bryar Westley Townsend, Hannah Lee Moore and Summer Nicole Moore;and his great-grandchildren, Molly Tatum Blackwell, Tucker ScottBlackwell and Tana Joleen Blackwell.

George Ralph Wilson
Services for George Ralph Wilson, of Ruth, will be scheduled ata later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Wilson, 53, died Dec. 25, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn on Oct. 13, 1956, to Preston Earl Wilson and Jane CunninghamWilson.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church inMonticello.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Preston Earl Wilson andJane Cunningham Wilson; his brother, Sonny Wilson; and his sister,Barbara Ann Roberson.
Survivors are his daughters, Erin Wilson and Janna Wilson, bothof Ruth; his brothers, Robert Earl Wilson, of Ruth, and RogerWilson, of Vicksburg; his sister, Bobbie McKenzie, of Fort WaltonBeach, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
