Services for Wessie Mae Lambert Calhoun, of Jayess, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 21, at Divide Methodist Protestant Church inMonticello with burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. and will continueSaturday until service time at the church.
Mrs. Calhoun, 96, died Nov. 16, 2009, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in Lawrence County onJuly 5, 1913, to Wesley Lambert and Nannie Magee Lambert.
She was a retired seamstress from Kellwood Manufacturing inMonticello. She was a member of Divide Methodist ProtestantChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William T.”Bill” Lambert; a daughter, Alma Boyd; her three brothers; her twosisters; a son-in-law, Ted Boarman; and a grandchild.
Survivors are a son, Thomas Calhoun and wife, Laura, ofMonticello; her daughters, Elizabeth Boarman and Delores Norton andhusband, Noel, all of Jayess; a brother, John W. Lambert, ofJayess; her sisters, Bonnie Durmmond, of Baker, La., and EdwinaCash, of Jackson; her seven grandchildren, Pam Ouellette, ofDallas, Texas, Vicki Helfrich, of Madison, Mona Boyd, of Austin,Texas, Joel Calhoun, of Monticello, Chad Boarman, of Richmond, Va.,Bert Norton, of Ardmore, Okla., and Matt Calhoun, of Summit; hereight great-grandchildren, Courtney Helfrich, Bailey and LukeBoarman, Caleb and Gavin Calhoun and Natalie, Garrett and KatieNorton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Divide MethodistProtestant Church Building Fund.
