Services for Wendy Star Boyte Furr, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Monday, Oct. 26, at Community Funeral Services with burial inBethel Temple United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

Ms. Furr, 52, died Oct. 23, 2009, at Countrybrook Living Center.She was born in Palacios, Texas, on July 9, 1957, to Hugh L. BoyteSr. and Clara A. Lenard Boyte.

She was disabled. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Preceding her in death was her father; and her brother, Eldon R.”Butchie” Butler.

Survivors are her son, Carey Banks Jr.; her daughters, PattiBoyte, Alesha Banks and April Smith; her brothers, Hugh L. BoyteJr. and Tommy Boyte; her sisters, Helen Smith, Jeannie Waldrop,Penny Moulder and Jane Bliss; and seven grandchildren.

Crystel S. Franklin

Services for Crystel S. Franklin, a resident of Port Neches,Texas, for the last four years and formerly of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Mt. Olive Church of Christ in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Franklin, 92, died Oct. 22, 2009, in York, Pa. She was bornin Brookhaven on Nov. 19, 1916, to Walter W. Stewart and Ethel PopeStewart.

She was retired from being a sales clerk in Port Arthur, Texas.She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ. She was a homemakerand loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, GeorgeE. Franklin.

Survivors are her daughter, Carol Ann Jones and husband, David,of Port Neches; her grandchildren, Chad Jones, of Port Neches, andScott Jones and wife, Danielle, of Oxford, Ala.; and hergreat-grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha and Nicholas.

Elizabeth Norwood Nettles

Services for Elizabeth Norwood Nettles, of Brookhaven, are 3p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drivewith burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.

Mrs. Nettles, 88, died Oct. 23, 2009, at Brook Manor NursingHome. She was born in Charleston on June 20, 1921, to Walter R.Norwood and Jencie Trewalla Richardson Norwood.

She was co-owner of Nettles Feed & Seed, Rebel Milling Co.and Haines City Motel. She was a member and former Worthy Matron ofthe Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 1 Brookhaven and a memberof the Garden Club. She was also a member of First Baptist Church,where she was a member of the Esther Sunday school class.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Walter E.”Ed” Nettles; her daughter, Joyce Nettles Butler; her son, James E.Nettles; her granddaughter, Debbie Nettles Cobb; and her grandsons,Ricky Nettles and Todd Butler.

Survivors are her son, Jeff Nettles and wife, Susan, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Peggy Smith and husband, Marian, ofMonterey, La., Kathleen Garren and husband, Jim, of Foley, Ala.,and Becky Vaughn-Furlow, of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church BuildingFund.

Mary Evelyn Wilson

Services for Mary Evelyn Wilson, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Monday, Oct. 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Wilson, 72, died Oct. 22, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 5, 1937, to JamesLeonard Locke and Mary Louise Hannah Locke.

She was a homemaker. She retired from Brook Manor Nursing Homeas a cook in 2002. She was a member of Merigold Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, James Leonard Locke andMary Louise Hannah Locke.

Survivors are her husband, George R. Wilson Sr.; her sons,George R. Wilson Jr., and wife, Joyce, James Lemaster Wilson andDavid Eugene Wilson; her daughter, Alicia Anne Wilson; her brother,Leonard Harold Locke Sr.; her sister, Jimmie Lynn Jones; and hergrandchildren, Michael Brett Wilson and wife, Mattie, James EverettWilson, Hannah Marie Wilson, Victoria Lynn Wilson and Georgia RoseWilson; her future great-grandchild, Ardynn Michelle Wilson; andfour nieces and four nephews.

Miss Wooten, 84, died Oct. 23, 2009, at Camellia Estates inMcComb. She was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 14, 1924, to Prentiss W.Wooten and Oma Lofton.

She was a retired merchandising agent for Stahl-Urban Co. Shewas a member of First Baptist Church.
