Billy Buck Ashley
Services for Billy Buck Ashley, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with burialin the church cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service.
Mr. Ashley, 69, died Oct. 25, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn on Sept. 20, 1940, to James Calvin Ashley and Ida EarlsAshley.
He retired from Delphi. He was a member of Zion Hill BaptistChurch. Mr. Ashley loved playing softball and also belonged to theJ.M. Wesson Masonic Lodge No. 317.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James Calvin and IdaAshley; and his brothers, James and Ed Ashley.
Survivors are his wife, Judy Allen Ashley; his sons, ScottAshley and Toby Ashley and wife, Billie Ann; a brother, Donald EarlAshley; his sisters, Louise Ashley Byrd and husband, Malford T.,and Dorothy Faye Davis and husband, Herbert Ballard Davis Sr.; abrother- and sister-in-law, Carlton and Carol Cobb; and agrandchild, Garrett Ashley.

Joyce Faye Lewis Lambert
Services for Joyce Faye Lewis Lambert, of Monticello, are 1 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Monticello United Methodist Church with burialin Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery. The Rev. Travis R.Fulton and Dr. Danny Speed will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home isin charge of the arrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at thechurch.
Mrs. Lambert, 86, died Oct. 24, 2009, at the Lawrence CountyNursing Center. She was born on Oct. 15, 1923, to Clarence EdgarLewis and Louetta Bullock Lewis.
She was an active member of the Monticello United MethodistChurch, the Cotillion Club and the Lady Lions. She was a formermember of the Garden Club and was a volunteer at the LawrenceCounty Nursing Center for decades.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Maxie P. Lambert; adaughter, Joan Patricia Stephens; her brothers, Marlon Price Lewisand Cecil H. Lewis; her sisters, Ouida Mae Lewis, Loyce LewisEsteves and Peggy Lewis Campbell; a son-in-law, James WayneStephens; and a grandson, Eric Nolan Stephens.
Survivors are her children, Kent Lambert and wife, Vicki, ofBrookhaven, and Christena Stephens, of Monticello; a sister, ClaraSilveira, of Pearl River, La.; and her five grandchildren, Kennethand Lori Stephens, Theresa and Teddy O’Neal, Mark and CindyLambert, Adam Lambert and Chris Lambert.
In addition, she was blessed with many, many great- andgreat-great-grandchildren plus a host of nieces, nephews and otherfamily members.
Pallbearers are Kenneth Stephens, Mark Lambert, Chris Lambert,Stephen Reaves, Wesley Lambert and Davis Rettagliata.
